Information
This instrumental composition is the first single from the upcoming album "WSNEBIAW". This whole album was composed and partly* recorded in Kyiv during the first months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in a state of fear, despair and learned helplessness. However, in August 2022, Szysztof had already overcome this state. Therefore, only one of the most positive compositions was brought to release, after which work on the album stalled until the end of 2023. That's why the next single "The Cursed Time of Changes" came out only a year and a half later.
The structure of the composition is roughly based on the classical sonata-allegro form, though the key is unclear until the very recapitulation where it is revealed to be E-flat minor.
Though the composition sounds clearly instrumental it actually has some lyrics deep inside. The background choir before the recapitulation sings lines loosely based on the composition's name in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Polish. Different voices of the choir sing in different languages simultaneously to render the lyrics completely indecipherable. Just some ominous spell-like muttering in the depth of the mix.
The release date was set to August 11 instead of the actual August 24 for personal reasons.
